Ha Nam Provincial Police trying to ensure security for UN Day of Vesak

PSNews - The UN Day of Vesak 2019 officially opened on May 12 at Tam Chuc Pagoda in Kim Bang district of northern Ha Nam province.

This important event from May 8 to 15 was attended by more than 1,650 international delegates from over 110 countries and territories across the world and over 20,000 Vietnamese Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers.

Due to its significance, the District Police Station of Kim Bang had actively drawn up specific plans to ensure security and order, traffic order and safety in various routes, facilitating travelling of people and delegates attending the special event.

All officers and soldiers of the Kim Bang District Police Station have been deployed to places and roads related to activities of the UN Day of Vesak. The district police also coordinated with other professional units of the Provincial Police Department to open 26 checkpoints to ensure security and order as well as traffic order and safety.

Additionally, the Mobile Police Division of Ha Nam also coordinated closely with various units under the Ministry of Public Security, the Mobile Police Command to ensure security and order while requiring all on-duty police officers and soldiers of the unit to strictly observe the discipline and promote the good image of the Vietnamese police force.
