Ha Tinh police actively brace for storm No. 4

PSNews-To actively respond to storm No. 4, and seriously implement the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Provincial People's Committee of Ha Tinh, Ha Tinh police at various levels have mapped out specific plans and measures beforehand.

Ha Tinh police have equipped more powerboats, hundreds of lifebuoys for flood-prone districts; consolidate the internal communications system connecting the provincial Police Information Center to the police sub-departments of districts, towns and city to ensure smooth information and communications upon request.

The provincial police have cooperated with provincial departments and agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, Transportation, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Dyke Management Office in surveying and inspecting critical areas which often suffer floods on a large scale as well as important projects such as dyke system of La Giang, and dyke sections of Hoi Thong, Dong Mon and Ke Go, as well as system of lakes, dams and canals so as to detect possible incidents in time.

In response to complex weather developments, Loc Ha police has been active in drawing up plans to prevent storms and floods, and coordinated with other functional forces in guiding in vessels still operating at sea for shelter and instructing fishermen to dock their boats safely, Senior Colonel Nguyen Trong Tranh, Head of the Police Office of Loc Ha district said.

In the districts of Huong Son, Duc Tho, Vu Quang and Huong Khe, the provincial police have instructed police officers to advise the local Party committees and authorities on flood prevention measures.

In addition, the local police forces in coordination with the local authorities went to each household to inspect and guide flood and storm prevention measures, and mobilize people living in places with risks of landslides to move to safer places.
