Hai Phong launches 2,400 COVID-19 control teams

The northern port city of Hai Phong on August 19 formed 3 additional COVID-19 control teams. At this point of time, more than 2,400 pandemic control teams are operating in various villages and residential areas of the city.

The new pandemic control teams will work at toll booths on the major highways to the city.

The teams are responsible for medical checks of people and vehicles entering and leaving the city in an effort to control COVID-19 in the city. Their main tasks include making medical reports, checking people’s temperature, requesting travelers to wear masks and taking other epidemic prevention measures.

Anyone coming from epidemic-hit localities to Hai Phong will be quarantined in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention and combat regulations.
