Hai Phong police provide free health checkups for mountainous people in Lao Cai

PSNews – The Hai Phong Municipal Police’s Hospital and Criminal Police Division on May 16 offered free health checkups and medicines to 500 ethnic minority people in Cao Son commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.

This meaningful activity was to celebrate 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation and to respond to the program of “accompanying with woman in border areas” in the 2018-2020 period launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union.

During the day-long drive, the delegation offered free health checkups and consultancy for nearly 500 locals. Many units of medicines for treatment of popular diseases, worth 110 million VND, were also allocated to locals in Cao Son commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.

On behalf of local people, Mr. Sung Seo, Secretary of the Cao Son Commune Party Committee expressed sincere thanks to the Hai Phong Police’s delegation for the meaningful activity, saying that the event was a valuable gift of health to local people.

Within the program’s framework, the police officers also helped local people improve their knowledge of the law.

Over the past two years, the Hai Phong Municipal Police’s Hospital, in coordination with other units, has organized many free medical examinations and treatments for people in various regions.
