Hanoi firemen battle large fire in industrial park

Firemen successfully put out the fire in a 5,000 m2 factory in Quang Minh Industrial Park, Me Linh district, Hanoi on August 8.

The fire broke out on the early morning of August 8, in the workshop and warehouse areas of Vietnam Energy System Co., Ltd. in Quang Minh Industrial Park.

Upon receiving the information about the fire, the Information and Command Center of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department promptly deployed 15 fire engines, 1 water tank, 1 fire command vehicle and more than 100 firemen from various fire police units to the site to join the firefighting efforts.

The efforts met various difficulties as fire had spread in a large area and there were various inflammable goods stored in the warehouse. The roof of the factory collapsed, causing troubles to the firefighters.

Firefighters continuously spray water into the neighborhoods to stop the fire from spreading.

No casualties are reported, however, the fire has caused great damages of assets. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
