The Hanoi Municipal Police Department held a conference on the afternoon of June 22 to review the 10 years of implementation of Directive No. 02/CT-BCA-C41 issued on April 1, 2013 by the Minister of Public Security on improving the quality and effectiveness of basic professional work of the People's Police Force in the new situation (referred to as Directive 02).

At the conference, leaders from professional offices under the Hanoi Municipal Police Department reported on the results of the implementation of Directive No. 02, and discussed specific plans and solutions to effectively implement the local police’s professional work in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc acknowledged the results of professional work achieved by the local police in recent years, saying that the local police’s professional work had contributed to preventing and fighting crime as well as maintaining political security, social order and safety in the capital city.

The Deputy Minister emphasized, officers and soldiers of local police units at all levels should attach special importance to regularly improving the efficiency and quality of their professional work by appropriately giving responsibilities to positions while leaders of police units, particularly investigation agencies at all levels, should renovate their leadership methods, heighten their sense of responsibility, and step up the implementation of Project 06, including applying staff management software.
