Hanoimoi celebrates 60th anniversary of its first daily publication

PSNews – The Hanoimoi Newspaper, an organ of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, held a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of its first daily publication on October 24, in Hanoi (October 24, 1957 – 2017). 

The ceremony saw the participation of Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Head of the Central Commission for Communications and Education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Chief of the Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang emphasized that, during its 60 years of development, the Hanoimoi Newspaper has promoted the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s revolution, building up its prestigious position of the first local-level Party newspaper across the country. 

Editor in Chief of the Hanoimoi Newspaper Nguyen Hoang Long stated that over the past 60 years, the newspaper has been honored to receive a number of Orders and Certificates of merit of the Party and the State.

Over the latest 5 years, the Hanoimoi Newspaper has made continuous efforts to successfully fulfill its assignments, affirming its position as an important information channel, and bringing policies, directions and political tasks of the Party, the State and the city to local people.

The Hanoimoi Newspaper took the lead in fighting negative phenomena and misconceptions, protecting the Party and the socialism in the country, while promoting social consensus and unity, and facilitating the successful completion of the political tasks of the city and of each local agency and unit.

In addition, the newspaper has organized meaningful social charitable activities such as the Hanoimoi Newspaper Run for Peace (44 annual tourneys), the Hanoimoi Newspaper Table Tennis Championship (5 annual tourneys); presenting gifts and scholarships worth billions of VND to needy people and students. 

In the coming time, the Hanoimoi Newspaper will boost a comprehensive innovation of all activities to improve the quality of its information, representing one of the core newspaper agencies of the city and contributing to the socio-economic development of Hanoi and Vietnam.
