HCMC Police Department seeks to cooperation with RoK Busan Metropolitan Police Agency

Within the framework of the working trip to South Korea from June 10th to June 14th, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Police Department, led by its Deputy Director Major General Mai Hoang, had a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency on the afternoon of June 10th, in Busan, South Korea.

At the meeting, the two sides mainly discussed issues related to citizen protection, safety of foreigners and tourists as well as prevention and fight against drug-related crimes and transnational crimes, and exchanged hands-on experience in managing traffic monitoring systems and handling traffic violations and accidents.

Underlining the importance of the protection of one country’s citizen living in the other country, Commissioner of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency Colonel General Woo Chul Mun stated that the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency will promptly exchange information and closely coordinate with the HCMC Police Department in preventing and fighting increasing types of crimes such as transnational crimes and drug-related crimes.

Sincerely thanking Commissioner Woo Chul Mun for the meeting, Deputy Director of the HCMC Police Department wished that the two police agencies would continue to effectively implement the signed MOU, while further promoting cooperation in combating organized crimes, transnational crimes, exchanging information on emerging groups of criminals as well as new criminal methods and forms of crimes, supporting each other in tracking an arresting wanted fugitives, and sharing information on situations of one country’s citizens living in the other country.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Command Information Center, the Traffic Control Center and the Multi-functional Evidence Analysis Division under the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.
