High-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam visits Russia and Belarus

At the invitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc visited the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus from September 21 - 28.

Within the framework of a working visit to Russia from September 25 to 28, the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam attended the 3rd International Conference on preventing and combating the spread of extremist ideology organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, as well as had working sessions with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and had a meeting with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.

At the meeting between the visiting Vietnamese delegation and a delegation from by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the two sides discussed the possibility to expand cooperation activities in all aspects, particularly the cooperation in training personnel responsible for crime with the use of high technology in the coming time.

The two sides agreed to continue implementing the program to organize vacation trips for groups of children of law enforcement officers of one country to the other with the aim of helping them improve their understanding of the history and culture of the visiting country as well as the process of building and development of the law enforcement forces of the two countries.

* Earlier, from September 22 - 24, the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam visited the Republic of Belarus at the invitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

At the meeting between the visiting Vietnamese delegation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the two sides highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the two ministries in the fields of information and working experience sharing, and bilateral coordination in initially investigating criminal cases involving citizens of the two countries.

The two sides agreed to promote cooperation in preventing and combating crimes with the use of high technology, ensuring network security and exchanging criminal techniques.

During its visit to the Republic of Belarus, the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam had a working session with the Judicial Expertise Committee of the host country - a friendly and trusted partner of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.

The two sides agreed on the results of the bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the National Judicial Expertise Committee of Belarus, saying that both sides actively implemented the contents of the signed cooperation agreement, regularly exchanging high-level delegations, co-organizing training courses and scientific seminars on judicial expertise in the two countries.

The delegation also visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus.
