Hoa Binh Police issues ID cards for minority ethnic people

PSNews - A working team of the Division of Administrative Management of Social Order under the Hoa Binh provincial Police Department recently overcome difficulties to complete assigned tasks in remote areas of the province.

This annual activity is part of the “A good deed a day to serve the people” program, proposed by the Women’s Union of Hoa Binh provincial Police.

The working team’s recent destination was Na Meo, an extremely needy remote mountainous commune of Mai Chau district. Local people could not hide their delight to learn that the provincial Police came to issue them ID cards.

For various members of the working team, this was their first time to experience the needy life of the locals.

As the Women’s Union of Hoa Binh provincial Police proposed the “A good deed a day” program, leaders of the division considered it a highlight to promote the quality and efficiency of the local police work, said Senior Colonel Hoang Duy Dung, Head of the Division.

In order to well implement the program, members of the working team have focused on strict discipline observance, good working attitude and style and high spirit of serving the people. They have also made recommendations to higher leaders to review and eliminate (if necessary) cumbersome procedures so as to shorten time for household registration and identity card issuance.

While receiving citizens, cadres and soldiers of the team always show an affable attitude, politeness, respect, sense of commitment and responsibility. Even female officers often spend time working on Saturday and holidays to serve the people. The working spirit and sense of responsibility of the team have been highly appreciated by the people.

In 2016 and first months of 2017, the team has managed to conduct over 50 bouts of ID card and other legal document issuance for thousands of people.

During their working trips, members of the team also presented gifts to women and children in various remote areas.
