Hoan Kiem Police finds lost property for Italian Ambassador

PSNews – Ms. Cecilia Piccionni, Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam thanked and spoke highly of the police force of Vietnam in general and the Hoan Kiem District Police in particular as they quickly found and returned the lost property to her, the rightful owner.

The Investigation Police under the Hoan Kiem District Police Office, Hanoi, handed over the lost cell phone to Cecilia Piccionni, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Vietnam at 11.30 am, November 20 after two days investigating the case.

Earlier on the evening of November 18, the Italian Ambassador had lost her cell phone while attending the Italy – ASEAN Festival organized in Ly Thai To Square, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

After being reported by the Ambassador on the case, the Hoan Kiem police force promptly searched for the suspect.

On the afternoon of November 19, the police succeeded in arresting the suspect, named Hoang Thi Xuyen, 35, who confessed to having taken the cell phone of the Italian Ambassador.

On receiving her lost phone, Ms. Cecilia Piccionni thanked and spoke highly of the police force of Vietnam in general and Hoan Kiem Police Office in particular for finding back her lost property.
