Hospital 199 offers free medical check-ups and medicines to people in Da Nang

PSNews – Hospital 199 (under the Ministry of Public Security – MPS) on January 12 coordinated with the authority of Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, to offer free health check-ups and medicines to local people, including many of the Co Tu ethnic minority.

The medical team of Hospital 199 including 24 doctors with various specialties, was led by Senior Colonel, doctor Nguyen Van Dang, Vice Director of the Hospital.

According to doctor Dang, people in the mountainous commune of Hoa Phu have not invested much in their own health due to their economic difficulties so they go to health centers only when they are seriously ill.

In addition to free health check-ups, the doctors also gave the people advice to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent common illnesses.

The medical team offered free check-ups and medicines to over 200 people. The Hospital plans to send more doctors to rural areas of various Central provinces to offer free health check-ups to poor people in 2019.
