In his keynote speech at a conference held by the Department of Internal Political Security (DIPS) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) January 10, Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang asked the unit to fulfill its tasks in the next year and pay due attention to force building.

At the event, the DIPS reviewed the whole internal political security force’s task performance in 2021, rolled out its work plan for 2022, and received the first-class “Feat of Arms” Order for its outstanding achievements over the past year.

A report read that the DIPS has thoroughly followed the MPS’s directions and completed its key tasks in 2021. Notably, the department directed its sub-units at all levels to safeguard internal political security at agencies and organizations during the  Party congresses and elections of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

Under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang hands the “Feat of Arms” Orders of various classes to officers of the DIPS with outstanding achievements.

The DIPS also completed all tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister according to schedule.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the DIPS and the entire force for their efforts and work results in 2021.

He agreed with the key tasks set in the department’s 2022 work program, saying that the DIPS should actively guide, supervise and  push under-ministerial public security agencies and provincial-level police departments  to absolutely safeguard internal political security.

He also asked the department to firmly grasp the security-related situation so as to actively propose solutions to  maintain the internal order and security of agencies and organizations.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also requested the DIPS to map specific plans to build a truly clean, strong, professional, elite, modernized internal political security force meeting the task requirements in the new situation.

At the event, under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented the first-class “Feat of Arms” Order to the DIPS; the “Feat of Arms” Orders of various classes to officers of the DIPS with outstanding achievements. Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to three excellent officers of the DIPS.
