Intersection project connecting Phu Tho province with Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway starts

PSNews – The Phu Tho Provincial Transport Department on November 26 held a groundbreaking ceremony for intersection IC11 on Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway at Vo Tranh commune, Ha Hoa district.

The intersection project is the fifth and final in Phu Tho province connecting the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway and the province.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Politburo member, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs; Mr. Phung Quoc Hien, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Le Dinh Tho, Deputy Minister of Transport; Mr. Hoang Dan Mac, Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Bui Minh Chau, Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee.

The intersection project is listed as a key infrastructure project, according to Resolution No. 17/2016 / NQ-HDND of the Phu Tho People's Council on mobilizing resources for investment in socio-economic infrastructure in the period 2016-2020.

The project aims to attract and facilitate investment into Ha Hoa district, contributing to the socio-economic development of the districts of Ha Hoa, Thanh Ba and Doan Hung.

The intersection on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway in Phu Tho province has a total length of 3.02 km.

The project, which has been set to finish in 12 months, is run by Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company (Trungnam E&C) after it had won an open bid for the road construction and installation of the lighting system.

According to Mr. Bui Manh Hung, General Director of Trungnam E&C, with intersection IC11, the driving time between Hanoi and Ha Hoa district (Phu Tho province) will be shortened by 30 minutes, which would help promote the local economy.
