At the working session, the investigation police forces responsible for economic, criminal and illicit drug trafficking cases of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department discussed difficulties in taking testimonies and interrogating the accused, pointing out the language obstacle when interrogating foreigners committing offences in Vietnam, and lack of equipment and facilities for taking testimonies.
Speaking at the event, Major General Chu Van Dung applauded the effort and achievements of the Thanh Hoa’s investigation police force in implementing their duties in the past time, saying that the force had strictly implemented the MPS leaders’ instructions on the procedures for taking testimonies and interrogating the accused.
He also recognized the local police’s effort in identifying emerging crimes and their ability to decide the most effective time to take testimony.
