The seminar was held at the Political Academy of the People's Public Security Forces and connected to headquarters of the 63 provincial-level police departments as well as the People's Security University.
Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr., chaired the meeting.
Speaking at the seminar, Director of the Political Academy of the People's Public Security Forces Lieutenant General Phan Xuan Tuy Assoc. Prof., Dr., revealed that the publication of the book has met the need of both researchers and practitioners for current important knowledge of cyber security as well as national sovereignty in cyberspace.
Other delegates focused on analyzing the international and domestic cyber sovereignty context, current opportunities and challenges for the development of cyberspace, and objective requirements of a country for cyber sovereignty, so as to confirm the value of the book for the cause of protecting and developing the country as well as the missions of safeguarding national security, maintaining order and safety of the Public Security Forces.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested that the Political Academy of the People's Public Security Forces and the participating units under the Ministry of Public Security should record all the opinions given and issues discussed at the meeting, and coordinate closely with each other to promote the book across the People's Public Security Forces as it has much knowledge needed for public security officers.
According to him, relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security should advise the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security to work with the Ministry of Education and Training so as to bring the knowledge of cyberspace, protect national sovereignty in cyberspace into schools and universities inside and outside the Public Security Forces.
