Japanese experts train Vietnamese fire and rescue police in search and rescue

PSNews - The Police Department of Fire and Rescue under the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organized a training program on fire and rescue for police officers of the Police Division of Fire and Rescue under the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department on June 19-20, 2024.

The training program was within the framework of the project to build capacity of the Vietnamese Fire and Rescue Police Force approved by the Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Japan previously.

At the program, Chief Consultant of the JICA Toru Nagasawa gave police officers of the Police Division of Fire and Rescue under the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department a number of contents related to search and rescue work in complicated and dangerous conditions.

During the program, Lam Dong fire police officers grasped all the contents and then practiced rescuing skills in different situations following the instructions of the Japanese experts. 

Thanks to the training program, the Lam Dong fire and rescue police force has improved their professional expertise as well as fire and rescue skills.

Hopefully, they will effectively apply all learned contents to real rescue operations in the rainy season this year.
