Khanh Hoa reviews national security protection movement

The Provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa held a meeting on March 31 to review the local national security protection movement in 2022 and roll out new plans for this year’s movement.

The event saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa, and 146 delegates with outstanding achievements in the movement in 2020.

According to reports at the meeting, the movement of national security protection in Khanh Hoa saw various new security protection models with the use of the social media platforms like Facebook or Zalo.

Via social networks, the people provided the police with hundreds of pieces of information about crime, participated in educating 476 ex-offenders. The local police were able to settle 260 civil disputes or complaints, seized 173 weapons of all types and mobilized 36 wanted criminals to give themselves up to the authority.

At the event, many people with outstanding achievements in the movement were honored by the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People’s Committee and Provincial Police Department of Khanh Hoa. The Ministry of Public Security also presented “For National Security” medals to 64 people for their effective participation in the movement in 2020.
