Kien Giang police hold its Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term

The Kien Giang provincial police Party organization held its 12th Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term on July 28. The event saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

In the last term, the police Party organization of Kien Giang province made great efforts to overcome all difficulties and fulfill their assigned tasks. Particularly, they advised the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee and local authorities to issue guidelines and policies to effectively ensure local security, maintain social order and safety in the province.

At the Congress, delegates discussed the results of the leadership of the Kien Giang provincial police Party organization in the past term, and drew lessons from the leadership of the provincial police Party organization of the past term. They also gave opinions and ideas to the draft political report and voted the working program and objectives and missions set for the provincial police Party organization in the 2020-25 term. The delegates also elected the Party Executive Committee of the provincial police Party organization of the next term.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc spoke highly of the efforts and achievements obtained by the Kien Giang provincial police Party organization in the 2015-2020 term.

In order to continue to effectively realize the 12th Party Congress’s Resolution, the Deputy Minister asked the Party Committee and the Directorate of the Kien Giang provincial police to improve on their achievements while surmounting the shortcomings and limitations in performing their tasks in the last term.

They should advise the Public Security Central Party Committee and local authorities on approaches to maintain local security and order and mobilize the entire political system and the people to participate in protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

The provincial police Party organization was asked to lead local police forces to launch intensive campaigns against crimes of all kinds and social evils, creating a stable healthy environment for socio-economic development of Kien Giang province.
