Lai Chau provincial police hold its 17th Party Congress

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered his remarks at the 17th Party Congress of the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization on August 16 – 17.

Over the past term, the Party Committee of the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization has actively advised the provincial Party organization and directed the local police forces to well-maintained security, social order and safety in the locality. The fight against crimes has achieved many fruitful results while the movement “All people protect national security” has been expanded.

The provincial police Party organization has also reached large achievements in the work of Party and force building. Meanwhile, the lower level Party committees and Party organizations have improved their leadership and combat capacity. These positive changes have contributed to creating a good foundation for the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization to successfully and effectively complete its assigned missions.

Addressing the congress, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh acknowledged and praised the efforts, and achievements of the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization over the past term.

Regarding its key tasks in the coming time, the deputy minister asked the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization to set the specific objectives, work out solutions to its limitations in the last term, and promote coordination with functional agencies to actively handle situations related to security, social order.

He also requested the Party Committee of the Lai Chau provincial police Party organization to focus on building itself as a strong Party organization, improve the fighting capacity for each Party cell and each Party member. “It must strictly follows the principle of democratic centralism and maintain Party discipline in all Party activities”, he added.
