A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To worked with the Lang Son Provincial Police Department, on March 23, 2023. Present at the meeting were Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Quoc Doan, as well as leaders from agencies under the Ministry of Public Security and police units in Lang Son province.

Presenting a summary report on the local security situation and results of the local police’s task performance in the past time, a leader of the Lang Son Provincial Police Department said that since the beginning of 2023, the security and order situation in Lang Son province has been under control without any complicated cases. 

The local police has actively grasped the situation, attached themselves to the grassroots-level, maintain national security, ensure internal political security, cultural-ideological security, network security, economic security, and public security. The local police have achieved important results in the fight against crime as the clearance rate of common criminal cases stood at 90.74%, and that of very serious and especially serious criminal cases reached 100%.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the local police to focus on Party building, the building of the provincial police force, which should be seen as their key and regular work. They should also pay special attention to realizing the resolutions of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee on building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern local police force to meet the task requirements in the new situation.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the local police to seriously and effectively implement Resolution No. 12 of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Directive No. 11 of the Minister of Public Security on enhancing the building of the commune-level police force in the current situation.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized the need to promote the movement “All people protect the national security” and consider it as one of the revolutionary movements with the participation of  the whole political system and the entire people with the police as the core force under the leadership of the Party, contributing to creating a social prevention posture, as well as to detecting and fighting effectively against criminal activities and law violations.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister emphasized the important role of the police force in border commune in ensuring information security, preventing crime, and solving complex cases right from the grassroots.
