Hung Yen provincial authorities on March 27 held an incense offering ceremony in dedication to communist Le Van Luong on his 110th birthday (March 28, 1912-2022), and received a certificate recognized his memorial site in Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang district as a national heritage.
The event saw the participation of General To Lam, Politburo’s member, Minister of Public Security, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as representatives of central agencies, ministries and branches, leaders of Hanoi city and the family of communist Le Van Luong.
At the ceremony, Minister To Lam and other delegates offered incense to express their respect and gratitude to comrade Le Van Luong, a resilient communist and a talented leader of the Vietnamese Party and revolution, an excellent son of Hung Yen province.
Born into a family with rich tradition of patriotism on March 28, 1912, in Nghia Tru Commune, Van Giang District, Hung Yen Province, Le Van Luong began to participate in revolutionary activities in 1927, when he was 15.
During his revolutionary career, Le Van Luong held various important positions in the Party and State. He devoted his whole life to independence and reunification of the country, the freedom and happiness of the people, deserving to be an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, an excellent son of Hung Yen homeland.
The life and career of Le Van Luong has become a bright example for his comrades, colleagues and people to follow.
To commemorate the great contribution of Le Van Luong to the country, the people, the Party and State have paid special gratitude to the great communist.
In 2003, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee collaborated with Le Van Luong’s descendants to build a memorial site in Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang district.
For years, the memorial site of comrade Le Van Luong has become a popular place for young people to visit and learn about his great personality and revolutionary career.
On March 24, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 673/QD-BVHTTDL to recognize the Le Van Luong memorial site as a national heritage.
