Leaders of localities visit and congratulate the Public Security Newspaper

PSNews - Currently, the Public Security Newspaper Online has Vietnamese and English editions. It is planning to launch a Chinese edition in two years’ time, in an effort to expand its information work to other groups of readers. 

On the occasion of the 92th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, on June 20, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang visited and congratulated reporters, editors and leadership of the Public Security Newspaper.

In Hanoi, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung sincerely thanked the Public Security Newspaper for its constant support for Hanoi by covering the city’s various fields, especially social order and security.

Besides, Mr. Chung highly appreciated the Public Security Newspaper’s role as a bridge between the local authority and people; between Hanoi and the rest of the country and other countries by covering information about Hanoi, its culture, socio-economic development in a comprehensive, faithful and timely manner.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung also revealed that, in the first 6 months of 2017, Hanoi has achieved many positive results in key fields.

Particularly, the city’s GDP growth reached 7.37%, higher than the same period last year. Currently, Hanoi's GDP contributes nearly 20% of the country's GDP. From now to the end of the year, Hanoi will strive to achieve a growth rate of 8.3% - 8.6%.

He affirmed: “Regarding other social issues, the social order and security situation of the capital is well maintained, making Hanoi a safe and friendly place.”

Speaking at the reception, on behalf of all officers, soldiers, reporters and editors of the Public Security Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien – Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper thanked the leadership of Hanoi for their valuable care for the Public Security Newspaper.

Major General Pham Van Mien also stated that the Public Security Newspaper always considers Hanoi critical to social order in its information work. Leaders and reporters of the Public Security Newspaper will continuously exert all-out efforts to follow up and cover news about Hanoi’s economy, society, especially social order issues of the city in its 7 main publications.

Currently, the Public Security Newspaper Online has Vietnamese and English editions. It is planning to launch a Chinese edition in two years’ time, in an effort to expand its information work to other groups of readers.

On this occasion, Major General Pham Van Mien hoped Hanoi's leadership will continue support the newspaper in its activities to satisfy an increasing need of people for information in the new period.

The same day, at the representative office of the newspaper in Ho Chi Minh city, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee visited and congratulated the Public Security Newspaper.

Hailing big developments of the Public Security Newspaper and its great contribution to the city's growth over the past years, leaders of the city hoped that the Public Security Newspaper will continuously cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City in information dissemination, contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development of the city.

On behalf of the Editorial Board and members of the Public Security Newspaper’s office in the South, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham – Deputy Editor in Chief of the newspaper thanked the leadership of Ho Chi Minh City for their supports.

As a press agency of the Public Security Forces stationed for 41 years in Ho Chi Minh City, the Public Security Newspaper will try its best to fulfill all tasks, joining hands with the city’s leaders and people in building Ho Chi Minh City as a civilized and modern city.
