During the visits, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized the contributions of Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers to the cause of maintaining security and order as well as to promoting socio-economic development, saying that the results achieved by the People's Public Security Forces over the past time have been contributed significantly by the religious community, including the Catholics and Protestants.
The Deputy Minister hoped that Catholic and Protestant dignitaries will continue to strengthen the great national unity bloc and join common effort to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, and build a united and powerful Vietnam while continuously supporting, contributing more to the “All People protecting national security” movement, and following the motto: “For a good life and a good religion".
At the separate meetings, Archbishop Nguyen Nang and Archbishop Vu Van Thien as well as Pastor Bui Van San, on behalf of dignitaries and parishioners of the two churches, thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the delegation for their care and thoughtfulness while speaking highly of the effort and achievements of the People's Public Security Forces in safeguarding national security and ensuring public order in the past time.
They also affirmed that, with their responsibilities, they will continue to mobilize Catholics and Protestants to participate actively in patriotic emulation movements, contribute positively to maintaining security and order, and join national effort in promoting socio-economic development, building a richer and more beautiful and civilized Vietnam.
