On the occasion of Christmas and New Year 2023, a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, visited, presented flowers and extended Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers, on December 14, 2022.

During the visits, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized the contributions of Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers to the cause of maintaining security and order as well as to promoting socio-economic development, saying that the results achieved by the People's Public Security Forces over the past time have been contributed significantly by the religious community, including the Catholics and Protestants.

The Deputy Minister hoped that Catholic and Protestant dignitaries will continue to strengthen the great national unity bloc and join common effort to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, and build a united and powerful Vietnam while continuously supporting, contributing more to the “All People protecting national security” movement, and following the motto: “For a good life and a good religion".

At the separate meetings, Archbishop Nguyen Nang and Archbishop Vu Van Thien as well as Pastor Bui Van San, on behalf of dignitaries and parishioners of the two churches, thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the delegation for their care and thoughtfulness while speaking highly of the effort and achievements of the People's Public Security Forces in safeguarding national security and ensuring public order in the past time.
