As the whole country has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and many patients in need of blood transfusion, each unit of blood donated by the People's Public Security Forces would save lives of serious patients.

On February 16, the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department has mobilized hundreds of policemen to participate in voluntary blood donation event. Nearly 250 blood units (250ml-300ml each) were collected in one day, and were transferred to local hospitals.

To follow the regulations on prevention of COVID-19, all participants were checked their body temperature and requested to wear facemasks and wash their hands before donating their blood.

The blood donation drive also aimed to educate the local police forces about the meaning and importance of the blood donation, and spread this humane activity in the community.
