Local police helps protect coffee crops

PSNews-Local police force in Nhan Dao commune, Dak Rlap district (Dak Nong province) managed to protect coffee crops of local farmers from thieves.

Nhan Dao commune is considered an important coffee production area of Dak Lak province. In previous years, coffee farmers were so worried about “coffee thefts” when the harvest season was coming. However, the local authorities have. Since the beginning of the harvest season, deployed various forces, including the local police, to help farmers protect their crops from being “stolen” and feel secure.

A majority of the local households live on coffee farming, said farmers. But they have difficulties guarding their crops as they have large and separate coffee farms.

Local authorities have formed and deployed various security teams, which are in charge of patrolling and protecting coffee cultivation areas. The local police and civil security teams have also set up public hotlines for farmers to contact them in cases of emergency.

The local police maintain close collaboration with other local forces, in checking and managing strangers to the area, to ensure security during the coffee harvesting season.

In spite of difficulty and hardship during their day-and-night guard and patrol duty, all members of self-managed security teams organized by the local police and authorities are willing to serve local famers and keep their villages safe and secure.
