Local voters nominate Major General Le Tan Toi as candidate for deputies of National Assembly

PSNews - The People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City on March 31 held a meeting to collect voters’ opinions on candidates residing in the locality for deputies of the 15th National Assembly.

According to a representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Cho Dua Ward, the nominated candidates for the 15th National Assembly include Major General Le Tan Toi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Thi Xuan, Permanent Member of the 14th National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee.

At the event, voters of Residential Group 10 of O Cho Dua Ward confirmed that the two candidates are all high-ranking officials at the Ministry of Public Security with a strong political position and good morals. The two candidates in recent times have made significant and positive contributions to national security as well as to maintaining social order and safety of the country.

The two candidates and their families have set good examples in implementing the Party's guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and regulations of the local authorities and the residential group. They have also actively participated in and made great contributions to local movements.

Voters in O Cho Dua ward all affirmed that Major General Le Tan Toi and Major General Nguyen Thi Xuan meet the criteria for deputies of the 15th National Assembly, as they both are the pride of the local population. The voters believed the two candidates will win a high percentage of the vote at the upcoming National Assembly election.

At the meeting, 100% of the local voters voted by show of hands, agreeing the two candidates to stand for the election of the 15th National Assembly.

Major General Le Tan Toi and Major General Nguyen Thi Xuan thanked the trust of the local people in all the nine candidates, saying that they are all ready to run for the election of the 15th National Assembly.

They affirmed that, if they are elected to be National Assembly’s deputies, they will try their best to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of a deputy of the National Assembly and contribute to the development of the country and happiness of the people.

The two candidates also vowed to fully convey voters’ questions and concerns to the National Assembly as well as to protect the people's legitimate rights and interests.

As the National Assembly’s deputies working in the People's Public Security Forces, Major General Le Tan Toi and Major General Nguyen Thi Xuan emphasized they would join with other leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to firmly protect security and order, contributing to socio-economic development of the country.
