Ly Thai To square turns into Piazza Italia for annual fair

On November 23 and 24, Ly Thai To square in Hanoi will turn into Piazza Italia, a truly Italian experience where visitors will have the opportunity to dive into various aspects of Italian lifestyle.

The event will last from 10am of Saturday 23rd till 11pm of Sunday 24th with entertainment going on overnight for the first ever “white night” in Hanoi.

The Piazza will feature a fashion show by Aristino; cooking demonstrations and competition by Italian food strategist and chef Stefania Corrado; concerts by the original “a cappella” group Mezzotono, jazz singer from Naples Simona De Rosa, Morning Glory jazz band from Haiphong, teachers and students from the National University of Arts Education.

The event will welcome a performance of artists from Thăng Long Music and Dance Theater; international music with Italian DJ Walter Natale; karaoke contest; football presentations by AC Milan; screening of live football matches of the Italian “Serie A”; screening of the Italian movie “Quo vado?” by Checco Zalone. 

There will also be a food court, with some of the best Italian restaurants in Hanoi and distributors of Italian products. It will be a diverse journey through the extraordinary Italian taste, thus celebrating the 4th Week of the Italian Cuisine in the world.

The event will also feature some of the best Italian brands in Vietnam, as well as iconic products of Italian design. Information on Italian culture, study in Italy, business opportunities and other Italian activities in Vietnam will be provided at the institutional booths. 

The event is supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Italian System in Vietnam and the sponsors of the Italian Embassy in Hanoi.
