Maximum efforts to minimize damages of hurricane

An MPS working delegation visited, directed and guided necessary activities in response to Sarika storm in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.

The delegation was led by Lieutenant General Pham Quang Cu, Vice Director of General Department of Logistics and Techniques, Vice Head for Directing Board on Response to Climate Change and search and rescue under the MPS.

Quang Ninh and Hai Phong Public Security Departments briefed the working delegation on preparations in response to No.7 storm.

After receiving Directing Dispatch by the MPS, public security forces of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong immediately assigned and deployed various forces to localities to help the people respond to the storm.

Public security forces in cooperation with available forces to ask people to move their vessels and fish cages to safe places.

Furthermore, important traffic routes on the localities should be protected.

100% soldiers and members of staff should be prepared all the time to deal with complicated developments of the storm.

Priority should be given to harvest in the morning of October 19th to minimize damages by the storm.
