Military and Public Security forces boost coordination in implementing security-defense tasks

The Military Region 9 (MR 9) High Command under the Ministry of National Defense and General Department of Security under the Ministry of Public Security on November 29, signed a code of regulations on their coordination in protecting national security and implementing defense tasks.

The event was co-chaired by Major General Truong Minh Khai, Deputy Commander, Chief of the Staff of MR 9 and Major General Nguyen Minh Kha, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Security.

The regulations aim to promote close coordination between military and police forces in executing security-defense tasks, mobilizing comprehensive strength to protect national security, national sovereignty, national borderline as well as to ensure social order, security and defense in the localities where the units are stationed.

In addition, the MR 9 High Command and the General Department of Security committed to continue playing the role in advising the Party and the State on security-defense tasks.

Addressing the event, leaders of the two units underscored the need to enhance coordination between the two forces in the Mekong Delta region.
