Minister: 2018 – a year of personnel and organization of Public Security Forces

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security stressed that organization and personnel work is considered a crucial mission of the Party and the public agencies. Therefore, organization and personnel work of Public Security forces should be continually be focused in 2018.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security had a working session with the Department of Personnel and Organization (DOP) under the General Department of Politics to review the results of the department’s implementation of the core assignments of 2017, and to discuss major orientations for 2018, on December 26, in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Major General Dinh Huy Hieu, Director of DOP reported that, from the beginning of 2017, the Party Committee and leaders of DOP focused on assessing the situation and studying solutions to the organization and personnel work of the Public Security Forces, in line with the instructions and plans of the Ministry of Public Security and the General Department of Politics on force building.

As the Central Party Committee of Public Security considered 2017 a year of personnel and organization work, DOP offered excellent advice on the related issues, implemented many important tasks, making positive changes in the organization and personnel work of the forces and contributed to building strong, clean and comprehensive Public Security Forces under Minister To Lam's directions.

General Hieu also promised that, in 2018, DOP will exert all-out efforts to fulfill Scheme 106 regarding organization and personnel of the Public Security Forces as well as well performing some other central tasks.

Speaking at the working session, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam recognized and applauded achievements of DOP over the past year. He also highly appreciated the position and the important role of organization and personnel work in operations of the Public Security Forces.

He stressed that organization and personnel work is considered a crucial mission of the Party and the public agencies. Therefore, organization and personnel work of Public Security forces should be continually be focused in 2018.

General Lam instructed DOP to review and re-draw up the personnel scheme immediately from Q1 of 2018. He especially asked DOP to avoid wrongdoings in training, recruiting, promotion and posting of officers and workers.
