Minister Luong Tam Quang attends Great National Unity Festival in Dak Lak

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in coordination with the Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province organized a Great National Unity Festival and summarized the project to build 1200 houses for disadvantaged families in Dak Lak, on the morning of November 17th, in Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang joined local officials and residents in the festival.

At the beginning of 2024, the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of MPS decided to fund nearly 100 billion VND for a project to build 1200 houses for disadvantaged households of ethnic minorities and policy beneficiary families with housing difficulty in Dak Lak province.

Thanks to the effort of involved units and agencies, the project has been finished 3 months ahead of the schedule.

Speaking at the festival, Minister Luong Tam Quang congratulated officials and people of Dak Lak province in general and Cu Kuin district, Ea Ktur commune in particular on their achievements over the past time.

The Minister also appreciated the high sense of responsibility and great effort of the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department, involved units and agencies, as well as other companions, who had overcome numerous difficulties to finish the building of 1200 houses for disadvantaged households with housing difficulties in the province ahead of the schedule, so that the beneficiary families can stabilize their lives and strive for a better life.

Minister Luong Tam Quang stressed that, in the coming time, MPS would continue to further promote its pioneering role in the movement of eradicating temporary and dilapidated housing nationwide by 2025, with a goal of eradicating 153,000 temporary and dilapidated housing nationwide.

The Minister wished that the local officials and people would further promote their good traditions as well as achievements and strive to develop the local economy in general and their family economy in particular so as to soon escape from poverty, contributing to developing the province and the country.

On the same morning, Minister Luong Tam Quang attended a ceremony to hand over a home of compassion to Mr. Y Du, a local poor resident, and visited and had a working session with the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department.
