Minister Luong Tam Quang commends public security units for ensuring absolute safety of grand celebration marking the 80th anniversary of National Day

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang sent a letter of commendation to public security units and agencies, praising them for their efforts and achievements in ensuring security and order nationwide, particularly in Hanoi, during the grand celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 3, 2025.

The content of the letter has been translated into English as follows:

Since early August 2025, public security units and agencies across the country have thoroughly followed and effectively implemented the plans and instructions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on ensuring safety and security for activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day nationwide.

Accordingly, public security units and agencies promptly deployed maximum forces and  assets, crafted plans for possible scenarios, took preventive measures, as well as proactively prevent and neutralize sabotage attempts by hostile and reactionary forces.

Meanwhile, police forces sought to repress criminal activities, ensure traffic safety, prevent fires and explosions and strengthen the management of weapons and explosives.

Thanks to their efforts, the Public Security Forces succeeded in safeguarding all activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, particularly the grand celebration at the historical Ba Dinh Square on September 2.

In addition, the on-duty public security officers created maximum convenience for audiences to fully enjoy and participate in the national festive event. The Public Security Forces’ high sense of responsibility and dedication was highly appreciated and advocated by the public.

Specially, the public security officers joining formations of the parade who had made a special effort to train, made an important contribution to the success of the grand celebration.

The Minister affirmed that the achievements and tireless effort of the involved public security units and agencies, especially the Hanoi City Police Department and the officers and enlistees participating in the grand parade, vividly demonstrated the qualities of the revolutionary public security officer, as well as reflected the Public Security Forces’ discipline, professionalism, modernity, humanity, attachment to the people, absolute loyalty to the Party, in line with the motto: “Be ready to make sacrifice for the nation, render dedication to the people.”

The minister also mentioned important factors, which had helped the Public Security Forces successfully fulfill their tasks, saying that the success of the Public Security Forces during the celebration time had originated from direct effective leadership of the Party, the close coordination of central agencies and localities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations and above all, the great support, solidarity and law-abiding spirit of the people.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized and commended the accomplishments of the involved public security units and agencies in recent times.

The Minister also sincerely thanked central and local agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, mass organizations and the people for their close coordination, support and assistance in ensuring security and order during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. He hopes the Public Security Forces will receive such support and cooperation in the time ahead.

Minister Luong Tam Quang called upon all public security units and agencies to continue to promote the glorious 80-year tradition of the Public Security Forces, bring into full play the attained achievements, strive for new outstanding feats in ensuring security and order, and excellently fulfill every mission entrusted by the Party, the State and the people.
