Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang had talks with Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Volfovich Aleksander Grigoryevich, on the afternoon of May 12 (local time), in Minsk.

During the talks, the two head delegates expressed their satisfaction with the growing cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Belarusian security and law enforcement agencies, noting that relevant law enforcement units and agencies of both countries have effectively implemented contents of the agreement reached at their previous meeting in Minsk in September 2024.

The two sides agreed that the global and regional landscape witnesses rapid and complex developments and contains potential traditional and non-traditional security challenges posing threats to national security in many countries, including Vietnam and Belarus.

In this context, the two sides stressed the urgent need to further strengthen proactive coordination in crime prevention and control to safeguard national security and social order in each country.

They also agreed to further enhance delegation exchanges at all levels and expand specialized training programs to improve the capacity of law enforcement forces of both countries.
