Minister Luong Tam Quang pays tet visits to former Public Security leaders in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of February 1, General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security, led a high-level delegation to visit and extend Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to former senior leaders and the families of late officials of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

The visit took place on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) and the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo) 2026.

Minister Luong Tam Quang visited General Le Hong Anh, former Member of the Politburo, former Standing Member of the Secretariat, and former Minister of Public Security. The Minister expressed his best wishes for General Le Hong Anh’s health and longevity, acknowledging his enduring legacy. He expressed his hope that the former Minister and his family would continue to provide guidance and support to the Public Security forces in their ongoing mission to safeguard political security and maintain social order.

Continuing the itinerary, the Minister and his delegation paid their respects to the families of late revolutionary leaders, including: Tran Quoc Huong, late Secretary of the Party Central Committee and former Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Late Ministers of Public Security Bui Thien Ngo, Pham Hung, and Mai Chi Tho, former leaders of the Security Section of the Central Office for South Vietnam Phan Van Dang and  Pham Thai Buong.

During these visits, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed the profound gratitude of the Party Committee and the Ministry for the immense contributions made by these late leaders to the nation’s revolutionary cause and the development of the People’s Public Security forces.

The Minister urged the families to continue upholding their proud revolutionary traditions and to remain a source of encouragement for the current generation of officers as they work toward building a modern and elite Public Security force.

In response, the families of the former leaders expressed their sincere appreciation for the continued attention and care shown by the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry leadership. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Public Security forces in their mission to ensure the peace, happiness, and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.
