Minister Luong Tam Quang works with Gia Lai Provincial Police Department

According to reports at the meeting between high-ranking local police officers and the minister, the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department has accomplished its assigned tasks of ensuring security and order in the province over the past year.

Notably, the local police have ensured social security, economic security and cybersecurity in the province.

During the year, the Gia Lai police took synchronous professional measures and launched various campaigns to attack and suppress all types of crime, eliminate criminal hotbeds and prevent the formation of criminal gangs.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended the Gia Lai police for their excellent solutions to issues related to security and order, avoiding unexpected strategic surprises.

The Minister underlined that the police department had achieved positive results in crime prevention and control, effectively performed its function of State management of security and order as well as strongly promoted the “All people protecting national security” movement in the province.

The Minister also recognized that the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department had been a good example of carrying out Party building and building the Public Security Forces, while paying attention to political and ideological education of local police officers and enlistees.

Regarding its key tasks in the coming time, Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department continue to proactively grasp the security situation, promptly and effectively detect and handle security and order-related issues early, from afar and at the grassroots level so as not to let any unexpected complicated security issues arise.

Additionally, the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department was requested to draft security plans with synchronous measures to ensure absolute security and safety for the upcoming Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

The Minister also requested the police department to promptly advise the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Gia Lai province to effectively implement order and security schemes and address security and order issues to bolster local socio-economic development and assure that all local people can enjoy a peaceful and happy life.

Minister Luong Tam Quang reminded the Gia Lai police force to reduce the crime rate in the province, enhance the efficiency of its State management of security and order as well as take the lead in effectively implementing Project 06.

Finally, the Minister urged the police department to attach great importance to Party building and the building of a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Gia Lai police force to meet the task requirements in the new situation.
