Minister of Public Security General To Lam hosted a reception for outgoing Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar saying farewell to the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) leadership on June 16.

At the meeting, General To Lam congratulated the Israeli ambassador on his successful term of office in Vietnam, and said that the ambassador had contributed largely to strengthening relations between Israel and Vietnam as well as expanding cooperation between the MPS and Israeli relevant agencies during his term of office.

The host stressed that the complex situation in the region and world and increased criminal activities in post - Covid time require countries, including Vietnam and Israel to strengthen cooperation in safeguarding national security and fighting crime.

In spite of severe impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s MPS and its Israeli partners co-held the conference “Cyber security Week” in June 2021, the “Israel Cyber security” Workshop in September 2020, an International Conference on Homeland and Cyber Security in September 2020 as well as jointly conducted a number of online cooperation activities in the fields of technology, logistics, anti-terrorism, cyber security.

At the moment, the two sides are continuing talks to sign deals as legal bases to expand cooperation between Vietnam’s MPS and relevant Israeli agencies.

General To Lam hoped that Ambassador Nadav Eshcar in his new position would continue contributing to the cooperation between Vietnam’s MPS and relevant Israeli agencies for national security and development of each country as well as for peace, stability in the region and world.

The Israeli ambassador sincerely thanked Vietnam’s MPS and Minister To Lam for big support for his country and himself during his term of office in Vietnam. He wished more successes to the relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Israel.

He affirmed, in any position he would endlessly support the cooperation between Vietnam’s MPS and relevant Israeli agencies.
