Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, visited, offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the Special National Monument in Kim Lien, Nam Dan district, Nghe An, and attended the Great National Unity Festival in Phan village, Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An, on the morning of November 17.

At the festival, General To Lam expressed delight at the title “Advanced new rural model” that the Hung Tan, the first commune in Hung Nguyen district, had just received. 

The minister also hailed the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Tan commune in general, and Phan village, which is also a role model in ensuring security and order.

Minister To Lam wished the Party committee, authority and people of Hung Tan commune more successes in building a peaceful, prosperous and civilized life.

Minister To Lam also asked the Department of the “All People Protecting National Security” Movement to coordinate with the Nghe An Provincial Police Department to study the security and order role model of the Hung Tan commune and advise the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on approaches to multiply the model in other localities nationwide.

Minister To Lam presents funding to build "Great Solidarity" houses to Hung Nguyen district.

On the occasion of the Great National Unity Day, Minister To Lam presented 20 "Great Solidarity" houses to poor households in Hung Nguyen district, offered VND 50 million to the Phan Village Study Promotion Fund, VND 10 million and a 75-inch TV to the local people, gift packages to five local organizations (each gift worth 12 million VND) and 20 individuals (each gift worth 3 million VND).
