General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and member of the National Assembly (NA) delegation of Hung Yen province had a meeting with local voters after the 2nd session of the 15th NA, on November 17.

The conference was held online at the hall of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee connecting with voters in the districts of Kim Dong, Phu Cu, Tien Lu, and An Thi.

On behalf of the NA delegation, Minister To Lam said that the 2nd session was shorter than a normal year-end sitting but it was in line with regulations and of high quality. The NA reviewed reports on the results of judicial work, crime prevention and control in 2021.

At the meeting, the NA highlighted that the Ministry of Public Security had advised the government to effectively direct ministries, branches and localities to fight the pandemic while maintaining public order and security.

With great effort, the Public Security Forces participated actively in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic while reducing the rate of serious criminal cases and successfully investigating cases, including major cases of public concern, ahead of the target set by the NA.

The minister highly appreciated voters’ ideas and comments at the webinar, and affirmed that all questions raised by voters were very specific, relevant and rational, reflecting their legitimate aspirations.

He promised to pass local voters’ questions and opinions to the NA, the government, competent ministries and branches, and send the feedbacks to the voters. He also requested the local authorities to soon answer voters’ questions about issues related to the locality.
