Minister To Lam meets voters in Bac Ninh

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security and the National Assembly (NA) delegation of Bac Ninh province on October 1 had a meeting with voters of Lang Ngam commune, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province.

At the meeting, representatives of the Bac Ninh Province NA delegation informed voters of the draft agenda for the upcoming 8th session of the 14th NA. Accordingly, the NA is expected to discuss 11 law projects and 1 draft resolution. The local voters raised various questions and gave opinions and recommendations related to economic development, social security and welfare, environmental protection, public order and security, traffic safety, law building, and completion of the legal system to the delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam expressed his delight at the fruitful outcomes of socio-economic development of the locality under the leadership of the Party committees and authorities of Lang Ngan commune, Gia Binh district and Bac Ninh province.

The Minister also briefed the voters on the results of the Public Security Forces’ task performances in the past time, force building as well as the project to strengthen the communal police force.

Over the past time, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed a number of professional police officers to communal police posts and received great support from local Party committees and people.

Minister To Lam said that, in the upcoming session, the National Assembly will discuss judicial reports, including the Government's report on prevention and fight against crimes and law violations, to answer questions of great concern raised by voters nationwide in general and voters in Bac Ninh province in particular.

The Minister hoped that voters will continue to heighten their sense of responsibility to the country, promote patriotism and solidarity and contribute positively to improving local socio-economic development and enhancing their living standards.
