PSNews - The National Assembly (NA) Delegation of Bac Ninh province had a meeting with the voters of Thuy Hoa commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh on September 24.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security in his capacity as a deputy of the NA delegation attended the meeting with local voters and answered their questions.

At the meeting, the NA Delegation briefed voters on the projected agenda for the 14th NA’s 6th session, which will take place from October 22 to November 20. During the session, the NA is expected to review and consider approving nine bills, including the Anti-Corruption Law (amended); Law on People's Public Security Forces (amended); Law on Amnesty (amended) and other bills; and give opinions on 6 bills, including the Law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments; review socio-economic issues, state budget and other important issues.

Voters of Thuy Hoa gave their opinions on various issues, including compensation for land clearance, waste management and environmental protection, as well as handling of commune officials violating land management regulations. They also suggested that competent agencies when building or issuing laws and legal documents should thoroughly consider about the reality to facilitate the implementation of these legal documents and prevent officials from possible wrongdoings.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Public Security To Lam gave voters the agenda for the upcoming 6th session. Particularly, the NA will hold a vote of confidence on key cadres elected or approved by the NA, and may elect new President.

Minister To Lam also said that the purpose of the Law on People’s Public Security Forces is to restructure the organization of the Ministry of Public Security and rearrange the forces to promote ties between public security officers and people, solve various problems at the grassroots level, while their functions, duties and personnel have been kept unchanged.

Minister To Lam said that he will pass queries of the voters to relevant agencies for further answers, and hoped that Bac Ninh provincial voters will continue to heighten their sense of patriotism and solidarity, and contribute positively to improving local socio-economic development and enhancing their living standards.
