Minister To Lam meets with Dubai Police chief

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo’s member, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam had a meeting with Lieutenant General Khamis Mattar Al Mazaeina, Chief of the Dubai Police on November 3.

The meeting was a part of the ongoing working visit of the Vietnamese Public Security Minister to the UAE.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina warmly welcomed the Vietnamese public security delegation, highly valued the visit to the country of Minister To Lam, and expressed pleasure at positive developments in bilateral ties and security cooperation between the UAE Law Enforcement agencies and Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular, and between the UAE and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) in general.

Minister To Lam extended sincere thanks to Mr. Khamis Mattar Al Mazaeina, the Royal Family of the UAE and the Dubai delegation for their warm and sincere reception.

The Minister of Public Security of Vietnam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to developing friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with the Law Enforcement agencies of the UAE in general and with the Dubai Police in particular.

Minister To Lam also expressed his belief that the bilateral cooperation will contribute to the peace, stability and development of each country as well as the region and the world.

At the meeting, the two side exchanged experience in prevention and fight against crimes and discussed on directions of cooperation in the coming time.

They also plan to share information about crimes and strengthen coordination between the two sides to better maintain security and safety in the both countries, as well as join efforts in preventing non-traditional security crimes, terrorism, transnational crimes, hi-tech crimes, and human trafficking.

Earlier, Minister To Lam and the delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security had talks with Mr. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al him Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister of the UAE and visited the Police Academy under the UAE Ministry of Interior, and the Vietnam Embassy in UAE.
