Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam expressed the great gratitude and respect to heroic martyrs of the People’s Public Security Forces, especially those fighting on the Southern battlefield and sacrificed their lives for the country’s liberation and reunification.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam briefed the members of the Liaison Committee on results of the task performance of the Public Security Forcesover the past time and their missionsin the future.

Minister To Lam hoped that the former public security officers would continue to propose ideas to develop the People’s Public Security Forces while encouraging younger police officers to fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to promoting the heroic traditions of the forces and the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morals and style” among public security officers and soldiers.

At the meeting, Major General Phan Van Lai, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Head of the Liaison Committee thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and recalled the unforgettable memories of the former public security officers fighting on the Southern battlefield during the national resistance war against American invaders.
