Minister To Lam praises public security forces nationwide for efforts in implementing two key projects.

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on June 1 sent a letter of commendation to members of the Steering Committee for the National Population Database Project and the Chip-based ID Card (e-ID card) Project and provincial-level police departments under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) for their efforts and achievements in implementing the two key projects.

The main contents of the letter are below:

Since March, under the directions of the MPS, the public security agencies and units nationwide have actively implemented the two key projects on national population database and e-ID card and achieved important results. On behalf of the MPS, Minister To Lam highly appreciated the important achievements of the MPS Steering Committee for the two projects, the provincial-level police departments as well as the Police Department of Social Order Administrative Management over the past time.

As there remains a little time to the deadline of July 1 for the two projects, Minister To Lam asked the MPS Steering Committee for the two projects and the directorates of the provincial-level police departments to speed up the implementation of the two key projects, saying that the two projects contribute importantly o the building of e-Government, administrative reforms as well as national socio-economic development.
