General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on January 19 visited and presented gifts to various needy people, policy beneficiaries in Hung Yen on the occasion of the upcoming Traditional New Year festival (Tet) 2021.

Minister To Lam and his entourage presented 100 gifts to poor workers and needy households at a meeting at the headquarters of the Party Committee of Van Giang District, Hung Yen. During his visit to the province, Minister To Lam presented over 500 gifts, worth 1 million each, to needy households in Hung Yen.

Speaking at a meeting with local people, Minister To Lam expressed his delight at the achievements gained by the Provincial Party Committee, authorities and people of Hung Yen in 2020.

He also asked the Party Committees and authorities at all levels in Hung Yen to further study and implement Directive 48 issued on December 9, 2020 by the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on rendering supports to poor workers and people so as they can have a happy Tet.

He also noted the need to prevent and fight the COVID-19 pandemic, manage the market and prices of commodities as well as to ensure security and order during this Tet.
