Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on May 28 received Mr. Giles Lever, British Ambassador to Vietnam.

Minister Lam congratulated the British Ambassador on his successful term of office in Vietnam, saying that the Vietnam – UK Strategic Partnership has achieved various outcomes in socio-politics, economics and culture over the past time. Additionally, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of the UK has been expanded and gained fine results, thanks to the great contribution of Ambassador Giles Lever.

Minister Lam expressed his belief that the British Ambassador would further contribute to developing the fine relations between the two countries in general, and cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of the UK in particular, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.

Ambassador Giles Lever thanked Minister Lam for his kind reception and expressed his hope that the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of the UK would gain more achievements in terms of ensuring social order and safety, prevention and control of crimes. Ambassador Giles Lever also emphasized that he would strive to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries into a new height.
