Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security received Canadian Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Ping Kitnikone on July 18 afternoon, in Hanoi. 

At the meeting, Minister To Lam expressed his delight at positive achievements in relations between Vietnam and Canada since the establishment of their diplomatic ties.

In particular, the two countries now have major opportunities to further boost their diplomatic ties and cooperation, especially in economy, trade, investment, defense and security.

Additionally, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam hoped that the cooperation between enforcement agencies of the two sides will be further expanded in prevention and fight against crimes, especially transnational crimes and cybercrimes.

Thanking Minister To Lam for the reception, Ambassador Ping Kitnikone reiterated the fruitful developments in the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Canada over the past years.

She also wished that bilateral relations and cooperation will achieve more positive results in all fields, and believed that, in the coming time, bilateral collaboration between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and relevant agencies of Canada will be continuously strengthened.
