Minister To Lam receives Indian Ambassador

Minister To Lam congratulated the Indian Ambassador on his new position and expressed his belief that the Ambassador would make contributions to promoting the relations between the two countries in general and between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and India’s relevant agencies in particular, for the two nations’ interests and for peace, stability in the region and the world.

Minister To Lam also wished that India would further support Vietnam when it becomes a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in the 2020 -2021 term and the ASEAN Chair in 2020. Minister To Lam hoped that both sides would promote information sharing and coordinate in fighting against transnational organized crimes, protecting citizens and agencies of one country living and doing business in the other, ensuring security and safety for high-ranking delegations of one country visiting the other, as well as promote cooperation in cyber security and training.

Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma thanked Minister To Lam for the warm reception and expressed his delight at the fine relations and cooperation between the two countries. He also wished that the bilateral relations between the two sides would thrive and gain more achievements. Ambassador Pranay Verma also promised to contribute his part to promoting the cooperation between the two countries and between the MPS of Vietnam and relevant agencies of India.
