At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated the Lao Ambassador on his successful term of office in Vietnam, and appreciated the contributions of the Ambassador to strengthening the cooperation and friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples as well as between the two countries’ Ministries of Public Security.

Minister To Lam emphasized that the cooperation between the two ministries has been maintained and developed in both depth and width, particularly in ensuring national security and social order and safety. Functional forces of the two countries coordinated well in protecting security for joint political events and visits of leaders of one country to the other, as well as created favourable conditions for businesses and people of one country to do business and live in the other.

Minister To Lam hoped that Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane would continue promoting the relations between the two countries and the cooperation of the two ministries of public security contributing to successes in renovation and international integration conducted by the two Parties.
