Minister To Lam sends compliments to brave police officer

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on August 29, sent a letter to the family of Corporal Tran Van Lanh, a soldier of the Fire Police Office under the Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department, who bravely sacrificed himself while doing his duty. 

In his letter, the minister praises the policeman’s bravery and gives condolences to his family.

The letter reads:

The Ministry of Public Security was informed that Corporal Tran Van Lanh died on August 27 when he was searching for a missing person in canal Dong, Don Thuan commune, Trang Bang district, TayNinh. The local people and his colleagues feel regret at his decease.

Lanh has gone away but he has also set a bright example of a police officer who is ready to sacrifice himself for the people. His death is a great loss to the Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department and his family.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Minister To Lam recognizes and praises the bravery of Corporal Tran Van Lanh and sends his condolences to Lanh’s family.

Minister To Lam asks relevant agencies under the MPS and local police units to visit and give support and condolences to Lanh’s family and coordinate with the local authorities to organize his funeral.

The Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department and relevant agencies are also asked to launch emulation drives to follow Lanh’s exemplary action as well as take measures to ensure safety for people as well as rescue police forces in dangerous areas.
